Why I admit my child to Sanskaram Vatika

Wholesome development of a child is not possible without strengthening him physically, vitally, mentally, intellectually, socially and spiritually. Although the education of today does develop a person intellectually but vital, mental (Emotional), social and spiritual development is inconceivable without practicing the yoga, pranayam,, human values and ethics etc.. Therefore integrated wholesome development of the child is not taking place. The present education which does not equip a person to face the challenges of life; does not inculcate the strength of character; does not promote the spirit of philanthropy and the courage of a lion: - is it worth its name? Real education transforms a man into a good human being and equips him to brave all the challenges of life.

Therefore, it is essential that along with the formal education of Science, Technology and Commerce, their wholesome personality should also be developed and the Human Values & Qualities should be inculcated in their sub-conscious, in a natural way so that adherence of these value will become their nature and they will be able to face the challenges of life courageously when they grow and live an Ideal & Exemplary life.

The study of Modern Science, Technology and Commerce alone is incomplete and incomplete knowledge is always dangerous. A person with incomplete knowledge may turn into a well educated crook, a selfish and corrupt individual who may be, eventually, harmful to himself and society. For the wholesome development of a person, one needs to possess both - the knowledge of modern science and integrated Harmonious Personality. Only those, who adhere to human values in their conduct and behaviour and make use of modern science and technology, can achieve the goals.

In the ancient Gurukul system, knowledge of the physical subjects like science and technology and formation of character and spiritual development of a person were accorded equal importance and it continued from the beginning to the conclusion of education in the Gurukuls. Besides the Intellectual and Physical Development of pupils, the education, then offered social, spiritual, vital and emotional development and also provided intense relatedness with society and nature. Later, due to inordinate desire for physical comforts and amenities, the focus drifted to develop a person intellectually & economically. The vital, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions became subordinate.

Science, technology and commerce can be taught but human values cannot be taught. The character of the person cannot he built up by teaching or preaching. Whatever is taught is registered in the brain but registering human values and ethics in the brain does not transform the man into good human being. Human values have to be inculcated in a person during his childhood in such a way that these reflect in his conduct; become his guiding force and adherence to human value becomes an integral part of his nature. Although the present education system improves the skills by teaching modern sciences and technology but it fails to uplift a person morally, emotionally, spiritually and socially and also does not equip him to face the challenges of life.

Sanskaram Vatika is more than a pre-school and provides the children such environment & facilities and organises such activities & programmes which will be instrumental in developing them Physically, Vitaly, Mentally (Emotionally), Intellectually, Socially and Spiritually. 'Sanskaram Vatika' while laying the foundation of their modern education would also be instrumental in developing their Integrated Harmonious personality, build their character and assist them in imbibing the Human Values, eradicating their negative mental tendencies in a natural way, so that they would be better equipped to face the challenges of life courageously when they grow and live an Ideal & Exemplary life.
